Art Anthology/Basically Bare/May Arts Ribbon Blog Hop

Welcome to the 5th day of the Art Anthology/Basically Bare/May Arts Ribbon Project Inspiration Blog Hop.  We’ve joined forces this week to offer you lots of inspiration using products from Art Anthology, Basically Bare, and May Arts Ribbon.

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you. I used Art Anthology Colorations Sprays along with the beautiful May Arts Ribbon and Art Anthology Stone Effects in Bone....

Here is the finished scrapbook page. I Carry it With Me...

The Art Anthology Colorations Sprays are AWESOME for coloring so many different surfaces, and with this project I show you how great it works with the May Arts ribbon.

Here are the ribbons I started with before altering them with the Art Anthology Colorations Sprays.

Here are the links, in the order you see them in the picture, for the ribbons I used in this project.

I used Art Anthology Colorations in Raider to color the ivory web ribbon.

After that dried, I cut a piece of the turquoise lace ribbon and wove it through the webbed ribbon.

I grabbed a piece of cardstock and misted it randomly with Art Anthology Colorations Sprays in Juicy, Glorioius, Patience, Lark, WaimeaBay, Hottie, and Raider.  I used this piece as the background for my picture. I just ripped the edges as I was going for a more grungy look with this layout.

I used Art Anthology Colorations Spray in Heart to color the Ivory Burlap Ribbon. After it dried, I cut out 2 heart shapes to use on my project.

For the base of my project I used a 12x12 black textured cardstock. I used a stencil, and Art Anthology Stone Effects in Bone to add texture to my page. Just use a pallett knife to spread the Stone Effects over your stencil. After this dried I went to my sewing machine and sewed randomly around the edges.

For some added dimension, I decided to ruffle the black webbed ribbon and turquoise lace ribbon I had previously put together...just did this quickly with my sewing machine. Then I attached the hearts with hot glue.

Here you can see the dimension that is added by loosely ruffling the ribbon.

I used the turquoise ribbon as the base layer for the picture, then the torn misted paper, then the photo. I then added the lace and heart element to the left side and it was done.
