Hi hi!!!!

So it's super bowl Sunday and honestly I couldn't care less LOL. I don't dislike football, I'm just not really into either of these teams. sooo...I had such a very stressful week with the weather we had that I decided to do what makes me happy and I got my paints and my Mod Podge out and this is the outcome.

Late Sunday

Ok so I should totally be in bed right now...ughh...I have been up looking at pics of CHA all night.
I want to go sooo bad...maybe this summer...sighh...

I was so inspired my Christy Tomlinson's site and her tutorial she did that I did one myself. I found some awesome old books at goodwill today for 5 bucks!!! I made this for my daughters best friend in Virginia. She wrote me the most wonderful and moving letter anyone has ever written me. I am going to mod podge lined paper to the back of this and write her back and put it in a frame for her.
I know she will love it.

Hello Sunday

Well today I went to my storage unit and I brought home 3 12x12 sterilite drawers of my paper and supplies..I just had to have them.
I changed up my brave girl journal page a little and did another journal page also...

Happy Saturday!!!

Wow...things have been crazy...I have been working my rear off but I L O V E my new job and the people I work with...
We are really getting settled here in Bentonville and everyday I love it more here. Everyone is just so nice!!!!
I am so much happier here and so is hubby and I know this is a tough transition for my daughter but I know she loves it here too.
She is now on the track team and has been working so so hard. We are so very proud of her and cannot wait for the meets to start.
Ok so I have been making time for my art journal. I promised myself I was going to be better this year. With 90% of my supplies in storage, I picked up 6 of my favorite colors of acrylic paint at walmart, some cheap-o brushes and of course some modge podge. Here are the pages I did this week.

I haven't journaled yet as you can see...that will come in time.
I think next time I go to Walmart I will pick up a bottle or RED...

Soul Sistah

Hi
So today I am posting a picture of my soul sistah lol.
I am not able to take Melody Ross' Soul Restoration online class that starts on the 11th because of the big move we just made and $$$...so...I am putting away $1.00 a day until it's time for the sign ups for the next class in April.
Hubby has told me no worries that we will make up whatever difference is needed for me to take the class so YaY.
I dressed her up pretty and shiney so she doesn't get missed each day for that dollar.

Mini album for Melissa

Not only did I pick up a beautiful picture at Hobby Lobby I also got the Melody Ross Homespun paper stack for 50% off. I am using the cardboard from a 24 pack of Coke to make a mini album with these awesome papers. I am also going to print out some of the "little birdie told me" inspirational emails from Melody Ross and add them to the pages. I will be posting pictures of the pages as I create this album for my beautiful daughter.

Christmas in January

So it starts...hehe...Christmas in January. I went to Hobby Lobby, for the first time EVER today. WoW was it overwhelming. I had no idea...NO IDEA that they had soo much yummy stuff...so I found an awesome picture and Melissa and I took a phone pic of it and came home and showed it to Jonathan.

We called to see when the sale ended because it was marked at 50% off...the girl on the phone said the 50% off stuff was now 66% off and they were open until 630.
We jammed down there. Well come to find out the girl on the phone was WRONG but the manager had to give us the 66% off price and we got a $200.00 picture for $74.00...and here it is...I LOVE IT...hubby is going to hang it up tomorrow....weeeeeeeeeeeeee...

My new job

So I started my new job on Monday. Everyone is so nice. My boss is really cool and such a very busy woman but she always is so nice and positive...I LOVE THIS as I had nothing even close to that at my previous position.

Christmas was very quiet around here because of the move and the unpacking. My daughter had a rough time not being able to see her friends or really celebrate Christmas. We got a little something for her but I know it still bothered her. All will be fine soon. We are going to have Christmas in January so it's going to be exciting.

I am going to ask hubby for the zutter bind it all and also the diztresser. I won the Donna Salazar papers and just cannot wait to get them. Her blog is so full of amazing projects from her 12 days of Christmas and beyond that as well. I love her style and I really want to make some cool journals and maybe open a lil Etsy shop...I am excited at what the New Year has in store for all of us.

Next week training kicks into high gear for me at work because the girl who will be training me returns from vacation on Monday.

My goal this weekend is to get the rest of the boxes out of here and in storage and hubby and daughter are going to get a bunch of things taken over to storage and goodwill for me in the next couple of days which will help a lot.

I really want to get projects started and done so I can get more pictures up here on my blog and hopefully get some followers. I might even try out for a design team once things calm down some more. THAT would be awesome.

Home in Arkansas

Wow it has been a crazy week. Hubby got to Virginia last Wednesday. We packed up the house and hit the road and we are at our new home in Arkansas. A lot of work still to be done but this already feels more like home than Virginia ever did.

Start my new job on Monday and I cannot wait. Very excited.

So we downsized big time and I no longer have a scrap room. Nothing but my counter top bar in the kitchen so I plan to utilize that. I kept all of my scrappy and art stuff right at the opening to the storage unit so I can get my goodies when I need them.

I left out my Teresa Collins welcome home kit so I can work on that. I got it over at scrappin deals and steals. Definitely check out the deals there they are awesome. I love everything I have gotten. here is the link. http://www.scrappindealsnsteals.com/

Monday 12/13

Wow is it every cold here...we got snow and ice last night...me no likey!!!

Ok so...I love Melody Ross and if you haven't been to the GCD Studio blog lately you have to go check it out.

They have posted her new line of paper and embellies called Soul Food...I am madly in love with this line and I really want to have everything...and there is a LOT...this is not the kind of line you say oh I could use that or maybe that...NO...you will want...NEED everything. It really is that awesome.

Wednesday 12/8

A busy day today at work and home. Trying to stay motivated and keep moving forward.
I cannot wait to see my hubby next week..!!!!!!!!!!..
I can't wait until I can have my most awesome stuff unpacked and I can start creating again.

I am seriously thinking about asking hubby for a zutter binder for Christmas...I love mini's and I think considering my upcoming space issues that mini albums and journals are what I am going to concentrate on. So I'm pretty sure I would put a zutter binder to excellent use...

I will definitely send him the link.

I WON!!!!

Ok so you see that Donna Salazar Blinkie...yah...well...I won her new collection...actually both of them...the other one is not even going to be revealed until December 13th.

I am so excited and I feel so so lucky. I have had to pack my entire studio and there is a good chance most of it will be in storage for a year or more. THIS IS NOT GETTING PACKED. I have been able to keep my favorite supplies in one bin to have access to and these collections are going at THE TOP!!!!

I am so inspired by these papers and I am looking so forward to creating some beautiful projects and posting them here as soon as I get them completed. 2011 is the year of art for me.

There are so many changes happening in my life and I feel more inspired than I have in such a long time. I feel the possibilities are endless and winning these gorgeous papers is just one more indication to me that I AM RIGHT!!!!
